You have been studying one of our National Parks, the Grand Canyon.  There are many historical and scientific reasons for it to be a National Park.

Writing Prompt:

You have been studying the historical and scientific value of the Grand Canyon.  It is currently a National Park protected for future generations.  There is a debate going on about the value of having places like the Grand Canyon continue to be National Parks.  Write a 3-5 paragraph essay justifying your opinion why or why not the Grand Canyon should continue to be a National Park.  Make sure to include details based upon historical and scientific reasons.
