DISCOVER

You will play the Factor Game online, analyze the first moves, and describe strategies to win. You will turn in each of these pieces.

INVESTIGATE

1. Go to the Factor Game site.

2. Read the directions on the bottom of that page.

3. At the end of the directions, there is a button to click on to play the game. Remember to follow the rules.

4. Print out the completed game board.

5. Use the “Analyze First Moves” worksheet to think about how you and your partner played the game.

GENERATE

1. Complete the worksheet

2. Write a paragraph describing how to win. Use the following questions to structure your writing:

What is the best first move?

What numbers are good first moves?

What was the worst first move?

What did you learn about prime numbers?

3. Turn in the Game board, the worksheet, and the paragraph.
