ü      Open Word and type a story starter. Use a rotating system so each student types a related sentence.  When finished, proofread (as a class), add clip art, print, and read aloud to the class.  Make a collection for your classroom library.

ü      Insert digital pictures (visual cue) of class trips for writing activities

ü      Have students create tables to categorize/classify information

ü      Use Word to make bar graphs, pie charts, pictographs…

ü      Have students save work in Word as a web page a post it on the Internet

ü      Create an electronic field trip using digital pictures of a class trip in Word and post on the Internet

ü      Insert a digital picture of a student modeling correct behavior, print it out and tape it on the desk of the student
