Discipline Policy

Level 1 Offenses –     1^st time = Warning / Phone call home

                                    2^nd time = Detention

• Talking out of turn, calling out, etc.
• Inattentive / head down
• Unprepared for class (pencil/pen, notebook, textbook)
• Off task / doing other work (work will be taken!)
• Out of seat without permission
• Dress code violation (must correct)
• Gum, candy, food, drinks other than water
• Failure to participate in group activity
• Note passing – note taken!

Level 2 Offenses –     1^st time = Detention

                                    2^nd time = Referral

• Late to class (on time = seated and working!!)
• Horseplay
• Throwing object
• Insulting other students
• Talking during a test (not about the test) – must finish after school
• Cell phone use (phone taken)

 Level 3 Offenses -     1^st time = Referral

• Cheating
• Bullying
• Profanity
• Stealing
• Leaving the room without permission
• Failure to comply / arguing with teacher
• Skipping class
• Skipping detention

Level 4 Offenses – 1^st time = Removal and Referral

• fighting
• uncontrolled outbursts
• crimes
• refusal to comply
• verbal or physical assault on teacher
• weapons
• drugs
• tobacco
