Why is RACE important to learn?

1.  Scores will increase in your class, as well as, on the DSTP test.

2.  When you think about your past DSTP scores, your score was based on RACE.

*If you scored a 1, you most likely used only 1 part of RACE, A
     (Answer)

*If you scored a 2, you most likely used 2 parts of RACE, most
likely the R (Restate) and A (Answer).

*If you scored a 3, you most likely used 3 parts of RACE

*If you scored a 4, you most likely used all parts of RACE

*In order to score a 5, you will need to use all parts of RACE,
as well as, have correct conventions, organization, great word
choice, good development, excellent ideas, and outstanding
voice (otherwise known as the Six Traits of Writing).

3.  This strategy can help you in all your current classes you are taking, as well as, in all of your future classes no matter what the grade level.
